Children of Prudence Ashok Vihar visit the Artisan
Taking students beyond the classroom is like unclipping their wings. Their minds are free to explore and they often end up with some very creative results. It gives opportunities to make learning concepts, real and relevant by putting them into more realistic context. To consolidate the understanding of the Theme TEXTILES, a trip to The Weavers Service Centre was undertaken for the grade 3 students of Prudence School, Ashok Vihar.
The students were mesmerised to see the different looms and different ways of weaving a cloth. They were in an awe when they saw how block printing is done. The inquisitive mind of students encouraged them to interview the artisan about the different techniques, tools and different processes involved.
Over all it was an amazing and enriching experience which raised the bar of student's understanding.
