PBL Culmination - Water Scarcity (Grade 5)
Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm!" - Ralph Waldo Emerson
This line befits the ebullient PBL culmination day of Grade 5 students of Prudence School, Ashok Vihar. Experiential learning in its true form was evident when the aspiring students showcased their knowledge on the pre-eminent problem of India i.e - *water scarcity *.The young students effectively engaged themselves in different activities, presented their views and demonstrated their learning through the model of a lake and an aquifer. They showed how the water from the aquifer can be utilized for hand pumps and wells, sharing their views on the need of saving them. It gave an opportunity to the students to enhance their analytical skills as they collected data, read informative texts and researched to learn various concepts. Through this, they could also empathize with the people who lack supply of clean water. As we know, PBL (Project Based Learning) emphasizes on learning by doing, this project left an impact on the students and helped them to apply their knowledge in real life!
