“With the emergence of the holy Guru, Guru Nanak, the mist cleared and the whole world was illuminated”.
The devout celebration commenced with the soothing chants of “Ik Onkar” by our students in reverence of 550th birth anniversary of our first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Mesmerising instances of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life and his teachings- ‘Vand Chakko’, ‘Kirat Karo’ and ‘Naam Japo’ were presented by the students, instilling the values of sharing with needy, meditating God’s name and earning an honest living.
The school premises reverberated with peace and tranquillity as the sound of spiritual songs and Gurbani were played and the students enlightened the audience through their dramatization with varied rituals associated with festival like Akhand path, ‘Langar’ and ‘Gatka- a martial art’. An aura of euphoria was created as procession was taken out and ‘kadha prasad’ was distributed creating a blissful and spiritual ambience all across.
The celebration culminated with a mesmerising dance performance by the children dressed in dazzling attire urging the audience to spread the message of love and compassion.
